"D" Street Bridge

This drawbridge links the downtown river area to the river beyond. It is one of two drawbridges that boats must cross coming from the San Pablo Bay to the center of the city.

This industrial parcel was once the oyster shell depot for many of the mills. It is now slated for development and this building will be replaced by a new community center.

Opposite the old Oyster Shell Depot are new housing units that mimic some of the bygone mills in their forms.
