Below the SMART Train Bridge and the Petaluma Marina, Shollenberger Park and marine oriented industrial areas face each other. Downriver for the next 10+ miles is generally inaccessible until the river opens into San Pablo Bay. Quite a number of derelict boats and shacks were demolished in this area during the dredging in 2021.
